Many big name poker pros have "their hand". Typically a hand that has won them a significant tournament, such as Doyle Brunson's fabled "Ten Two" or "Ten Deuce" hand, the starting hand that won him a World Series of Poker main event championship twice. Doyle is often found on the NBC show Poker After Dark, and in this particular week he had some great company. It was the Battle of the Bracelets with Erik Seidel (eight bracelets), T.J. Cloutier (six bracelets), Layne Flack (five bracelets), Phil Hellmuth (eleven bracelets) and of course Doyle with his ten bracelets. In this hand his hand made an appearance, but not in its usual way. Doyle started out with: ... and raised it up to $1,000. Phil made the call with: ... and it was time for a flop. The flop came down: ... and there it was. "Is that a Ten Two out there?" asked the venerable poker pro. Phil checked it to Dolye, who pushed out $10k. It seemed like Phil might call when he said, "Well, it won't matter if I finish now or in second place." But then he might have thought about Doyle's comment. He often plays his favorite hand for sentimental reasons, and if so his two pair would beat Phil's top pair. "You might be bluffing me," said Phil, but he did in the end lay down the better hand.
