Poker After Dark - I Have Jack Nine Crushed

  One player had already been eliminated during Couples Week on the hit NBC show Poker After Dark, and a second one was on his way. Jennifer Tilly, Phil Laak, David Benyamine, Erica Schoenberg, Jennifer Harman, and Marco Traniello had all paid the $20,000 buy in in this winner take all game, hunting the $120,000 top prize.  In the previous hand Phil had lost a bundle of chips to David and once more these two tangled. David opened things up with a raise of $1500 holding a marginal hand: ... Phil, ever talkative, said that he was moving all in if he had Jack Nine or better. He looked down and saw exactly 1 card better for both of the Jack and the nine: ... He moved all in for his last $2000. "You have Jack nine?" asked David. Phil replied, "I have Jack nine crushed." "Oh, well, I have to call," said David, and he did. It was, after all, only another $500 to knock Phil out. Phil was happy when he saw that he had David dominated, but he still had a feeling he was out of the game. He stood up, came around, and shook David's hand as the flop was dealt. The flop was: ... and now any heart would also make David a winner. The turn was: ... and Phil was left to hoping for a queen or a 10 that was not a heart. The river was: ... and that was it for the Unabomber.
