Phil Ivey is not only a super poker pro, but a golfer as well. The comparisons between him and Tiger Woods started long before Ivey got into golf, and he doesn't compare to Tiger at the game, but he sure does love to play. As he saw his tourney life ending during Mega Match week on the Poker After Dark NBC poker show, he leaned over to his pal Barry Greenstein and asked, "So you want to go golfing tomorrow?" assuming his game was just about up. In this hand Ivey took an all in move for $46,000. It was his third all in pre flop move in a row, and the previous two had resulted in wins (the second one was when everyone folded.) This time Barry called him, as he did in the first hand, and again had the lead. His starting hand: ... was beating Ivey's: ... so Ivey figured he was about to lose nearly all his money (he had Barry slightly out chipped.) The flop came down: ... and Phil jokingly started to take the money from the pot and stack it in front of himself, then put it back. When the turn came: ... Barry started to give him the money for real. When the river hit: ... Barry was out. Phil looked over and joked with his pal, saying, "You will never win one of these things until you learn to win with the worst hand."
