Poker After Dark - Do I Have a Diamond?

Some players hide their faces and try so hard not to give away a thing to the other players. Others, however, are very animated - their face moves, they grin, they chat. They still win, and lose, and sometimes they give away a thing or two, but by contrast to the stone faces they seem super confident.  During the "http://www.launchpoker.com/sp/wsop/ 5 or more bracelet week" of Poker After Dark, the NBC late night poker show, Layne Flack showed why he was good at playing the Chatty Cathy role. Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson, T.J. Cloutier, Chris Ferguson, and Erik Seidel were all at the table, and Flack lead out with a limp from under the gun holding: ... Seidel also limped with: ... and Brunson checked from the big blind with: ... The flop came: ... and all the players checked it to the turn. The turn came: ... and Flack was first to act. "Do I have a diamond?" he asked out loud, and then checked his cards. "Nope," he said, and then bet $600.  Now, with a third diamond hitting the board on the turn, anyone with a diamond would have a flush draw, and in fact Doyle had a diamond. But it was so weak, and Flack could even have two diamonds, giving him the flush, he couldn't stick around. Both he and Erik folded away, shipping the pot to the guy with nothing but the nerve to bet.
