Poker After Dark - Chip Ship to Dolly

Phil Hellmuth has 11 World Series of Poker bracelets. That is more than anyone on the planet. Up until this year he had 10, which only two other players have, Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson, and only 12 people in the entire world have five or more World Series of Poker bracelets. When Poker After Dark, the NBC show hosted by Shana Hiatt, brought 6 of those dozen together, there was no surprise when the two left to battle heads up for the $120k cash prize were none other than Phil Hellmuth and Doyle Brunson, having just ousted T.J. Cloutier.

During the taping of the show Phil had not yet won his 11th, so they were on even ground - in fact, Doyle, with his legendary status and 2 WSOP main event wins versus Phil's single, was out ahead in the eyes of the poker world. In this particular hand, he stayed out ahead.

Phil started things off by limping under the gun with:

... and Doyle checked his option from the big blind with:

... The flop came down:

... helping Doyle. Because Phil did not bet he had no clue what Doyle had, and so he was aware that the flop could have hit Texas Dolly.

Both players checked to the turn, which was:

... Now Doyle bet out $4,000 in tourney chips and cash, and Phil figured he may have just hit a pair or picked up a wheel draw, so he called.

  The river came:

... giving Doyle trips, and now Doyle turned up the heat, betting $12k. Phil had nothing to hold on to, and so mucked his hand and shipped the chips to Doyle.
