Poker shows are always better when there is an analyst there to provide expert commentary, but when do these poker talkers get to play? On the NBC show Poker After Dark it was Analysts Week, and Chad Brown, Howard Lederer, Mark Gergorich, Phil Gordon, Ali Nejad, and Robert Williamson III all got a chance to show their stuff.
In this hand Gordon and Brown mixed it up. Phil had big slick:
... and popped it up to $600. Chad held:
... one of those hands you only call with when you hope to get very lucky and grab all of your opponents chips. He made the call. When the flop hit:

... things looked pretty good for Chad. He checked, and Phil, holding top pair, great kicker, bet $1k. Chad called. The turn hit:
... giving Chad an invisible straight. When he checked, Phil also checked, suspicious. The river came:
... the worst card for Gordon besides another ace. This time Chad fired $2k, and Gordon, loving his two pair, raised it to $5k. Chad smartly upped it to $8k. Gordon felt he had to call, and kicked himself when he saw Chad roll over the straight.
