At High Stakes Poker, a 24 hour cash game played on the Game Show Network with a $100,000 buy in, an amazing hand knocked the wind out of one of the players.
Gus Hansen picked up a pair of fives:
... and decided to play, raising it to $2,000. Daniel Negreanu also had a pocket pair, so he raised it up to $5,000 with:
... Antonio Esfandiari looked down at:
... and thought. "Out of position against Gus and Daniel Negreanu," he said out loud, "I'm going to fold this garbage." And he did.
Gus made the call and it was on to the flop. The flop came down:

... and amazingly both players had flopped sets. Because Negreanu had a larger set, this meant Gus was in for a world of hurt unless he managed to get quads. He checked and Negreanu bet $8,000. Gus right away popped it up to $24,000. This made Danny think, but he called it.
The turn came:
... and there it was, Gus was back in charge. This time he lead out with $24,000 and Danny put him likely on a hand like seven, five. He called, thinking he was slow playing.
The river came:
... and Gus checked it again. Danny, thinking he was reeling in a big fish, bet $65,000, and Gus moved all in for $167,000 more. Danny did not like this, knowing that - despite Gus being a very loose player - his opponent had to have a good hand. He made the call, though, and then felt sick when he saw he lost.
