During the day of play at the Game Show Network's hit poker show, High Stakes Poker, seats open up and are filled all the time. Each player comes with $100k of their own money, buys a rack of chips, and then sits down to try their skills. As they bust out, they either buy back in, or go home, and their spot is filled with another player waiting in the wings.
One night Mike Matusow, the man they call the Mouth, raised to $2,100 with:
... Jamie Gold called holding:
... and Daniel Alaei was in with pocket fives:
... Then William Chen, who had just taken his seat, popped it up to $9,000, a massive over bet, with:
... Mike folded but Gold and Alaei called, and it was time for the flop. The flop came:

... and Chen put out $15,000. Gold quickly folded, but Alaei hung back a minute. He went into the tank and watched his opponent. Chen, operating on a pure bluff, was as happy as a clam. He started joking around with the table, saying he planned on buying in four or five more times, so Alaei might as well take his first $100k. In saying so he was implying that he was pot committed, and so at some point he would be asking Alaei for at least a hundred grand. That alone likely caused Alaei, who looked like he had a good read on Chen, to fold. The newcomer took down a $40,000 pot with a bluff.
