Master Poker: Professional No-limit Texas Hold'em

I think it is probably safe to say that not every poker player in world buys poker related video games because they love playing poker on their computer; if that were the truth they would skip the video game and just play online against real people. Even if they don’t want to play for real money, just about every online poker site in the universe has a free side that allows folks to play with fake money. So very few people spend money for yet another way to use the computer to play poker; if they are going to play a game, they are probably more likely to choose something from the Resident Evil series. People buy computer poker games in order to use them as little electronic sparring partners. If a game fails to fulfill this role, you may as well just wipe the disk and use it record old episodes of WKRP or Alf. If you are looking for a game to sharpen your poker claws on, Master Poker: Professional No-limit Texas Hold'em is an excellent choice.

Like any other poker games this one features opponents you can play against, the wrinkle here is in the AI. Each of these players has a personality and playing style all their own. And while you can identify a playing style with an opponent, they hardly stick to the textbook description of that style; in short, they deviate and almost seem to learn from how you play against them. Each player is challenging, and makes an excellent training tool for those who regularly play against real opponents.

This game is available for Windows Vista / XP / 98 / 2000 / NT, and could be purchased from Amazon.com for a little under sixty dollars. So it well within the mainstream as far as price. For the money it is great bargain.
