World Record Achievement

World Record

One would think that Rosie O’Donnell or Michael Moore would be the world’s leader in broken toilet seats. Alas, that particular distinction goes to Kevin Shelly of the United States. This martial arts enthusiast and Jedi master of low self-esteem craved attention so badly that he went on a variety show and broke forty-five toilet seats using the most expendable bit of his anatomy; his head. He is joined in the in annals of really odd behavior by Rolf Iven of Germany who managed to walk a full 19.1 meters across a path made of hotplates and Dean Sheldon who found it necessary to hold a seven inch scorpion in his mouth for a full eighteen seconds. What do all these people have in common? Well none of them have probably seen a woman naked…ever. Beside that though, they are all in the Guinness Book of World’s Records.

Chances are none of these people are invited to many parties, and if they are the bathroom, kitchen, and family pets are probably firmly off limits. Despite this, PokerStars has made it a corporate mission to join these folks in the book the chronicles people who are the superheroes of completely daft behavior.

PokerStars has just set the record for the biggest poker tournament in the history of the world. Thirty-five thousand people all paid an eleven dollar buy-in to be part of this particular experience. People playing in this tournament were not only participating in a world record event, but were competing for their piece of a half million dollar prize pool. Competitors who finished 8,750th and higher were all in the money; this itself was a record as well. We applaud all those who made it possible for PokerStars to appear in the same book that celebrates a 1262 lb man, and a solid gold toilet worth 3.5 million dollars.
