When the WPT Super High Roller event got underway it was with 29 poker players who paid $100k each to play. The poker pros will be competing for a top prize of one million dollars. Many proffesional poker tournament series will offer a high roller event, but few are as pricy as the $100,000 buy in, debuting as the first Super High Roller event in World Poker Tour history. Second place will feature a prize of $700k and third place nearly $450k.
