Baseball is America's past time. Poker is a card game that evolved over the years in various towns and cities in the US. To be perfectly hones, Can any of us, especially the newcomers, remember a time prior to Moneymaker's WSOP win, where poker was even on TV? Much less at almost any time of day?

Default America past time endeed

I mean that poker is played more than not by teen, adult and old timers. Last year a 50yr old lady won big in 2006 WSOP tournament and she did not even know the game well.
