  Bobby Baldwins Winning Poker Secrets written by Mad Genius Mike Caro contains both the biography of the poker legend, the WSOP 1978 winner, Bobby Baldwin and his strategy tips on seven poker variations.


  Well, Baldwins life is really interesting. Reading about his way from the early ages to the final WSOP table, from playing poker in dangerous roadhouses to his high-stakes poker games against other poker legends is really enjoyable. Bobby Baldwin was a big-bet winner. Such poker sharks as Doyle Brunson were afraid to meet him at the table.


  However, the poker strategy described in the book didnt impress me much. Most of the information is too general. We can recommend it neither to experienced players, because they wont find anything new here, nor to beginners, as it is better to learn basic poker strategy from more suitable books (like Sklanskys Theory of Poker).


  So in our opinion the biographical part of the book is much better than the theoretical one. However, this book is worth reading due to the fact that Bobby Baldwin is a legendary player and his life history might be interesting for those who are interested in poker and its history.
