If you want to win at poker at all, then you need to understand odds and probabilities. If you haven't figured them out already, or had a poker shark take you on as an apprentice, then you are in luck, because Matthew Hilger's book, Texas Hold 'em Odds and Probabilities: Limit, No-Limit and Tournament Strategies, is the solution to your problem. Texas Hold 'em Odds and Probabilities is not a small book, clocking in at about 250 pages, and covers everything promised in its fairly lengthy title; the book pretty much covers the gamut when it comes to the world's most popular poker game. Selling for around twenty five bucks, this book will give you the answers to questions that will lead you to the money: "If your opponent raises, what are the odds that he holds a pair?", "If you are holding QQ, what are the odds the flop will contain an over card?", "How about two over cards?", "If over cards hit, what are the probabilities that your opponent just hit a pair better than yours?" If you can answer these questions, you will be in a different class than many of your opponents, and this book will help you answer those questions. If your poker tastes run to online poker and you found Hilger helpful, he also wrote a best selling online poker book, Internet Texas Hold 'em.
